Oh noes:-( Get well soon xx
SORRY LIL' GIRL , WISHING YOU SOON SHAKE OFF THAT KENNEL COUGH!GET BACK YOUR PEP & SPRING IN YOUR STEP!
Does she go to daycare? Where is she being exposed to it? I know that after a dog has kennel cough they are typically immune for 6 months to one year due to the antibodies the body builds up or at least this is what we have been told through our vet and the shelters vet. If its recurring it sounds like bronchitis and not kennel cough. Do you have a room purifier running in the room she stays in the most? This can help and so can a dehumidifier. I sure hope Cinnamon gets over this nasty cough. I feel so bad for her. :(
She does not go to day care. A month ago she got a Bordetella vaccination and two weeks ago she was border for a weekend while we went out of town. When I called her veterinary clinic I was informed that just like the flu you can get the shot and still get the virus. Which makes since since they are injecting the virus in her. Cinnamon is coughing less each day but I will try some of your suggestion and at this point I will be taking a more holistic approach to get Cinnamon's immune stronger. Thank you your concern is appreciated.
